Speaker: Akan Abdula
Born in Skopje, Macedonia in December 1978. Graduated from Bilkent University, Istanbul, with a degree in Business Administration. Received an MBA from Case Western Reserve University, Weatherhead School of Management. Worked for many years as a research director at Millward Brown. Has 17 years of experience in advertising, marketing strategies, brand management, and market research. In Turkey, he served as the Head of Strategy and Planning at an advertising agency and as a member of the Grey Group Worldwide global strategy council. He was among the 12 strategists who managed the global council. He served as a member of the Advertising Self-Regulation Board. He served as a judge at Kırmızı, Felis, and Effie. He received numerous gold Effie awards, including for Turkey’s best product launch and most effective social responsibility campaigns. He personally advises Turkey’s largest brands. He teaches Consumer Behavior at Bilgi University, Brand School. His strategic approaches have been featured in the Daily Telegraph.
Speaker: Başak Abdula
She was born in Istanbul in 1979. She graduated from Boğaziçi University, Department of Sociology. She then received her MBA degree from Galatasaray University. She worked as a consumer insights specialist at global research companies. She is the founding partner of FutureBright Research and ZMET Institute Turkey and a member of the Board of Directors of BÜMED.
